About the IQAC
The vision of K.S.G.M. College, Nirsha, Dhanbad is to enlighten as many students as possible through higher education apart from rendering social upliftment programmes. It is the vision of the college to help students develop a healthy outlook and positive thinking. It aims to make students creative. Providing a disciplined environment, the college aims to foster positive growth of students. The college tries to provide a kind of education that will promote human values, professionalism and a scientific outlook in all sections of students including scheduled tribes, scheduled castes, other backward communities and religious minorities. The college has always paid special attention to female students, their needs and welfare.
IQAC Functions - As per UGC Guidelines
- Development and application of quality benchmarks/parameters for the various academic and administrative activities of the College.
- Facilitating the creation of a learner-centric environment conducive for quality education and faculty maturation to adopt the required knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning process.
- Arrangement for feedback responses from students, parents and other stakeholders on quality-related institutional processes.
- Dissemination of information on the various quality parameters of higher education.
- Organization of inter and intra institutional workshops, seminars on quality related themes and promotion of quality circles.
- Documentation of the various programmes/activities of the College, leading to quality improvement.

IQAC - Institutional Functioning
The institution has an active Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) to frame the policy for the academic and administrative growth of the institution. IQAC is playing a major role in designing and maintaining quality assurance within academic systems. It monitors the proper implementation and analysis of overall academic and administrative performances of the college activities.
The cell supports the teaching and learning goals articulated in the institution's strategic plan. In this regard, a manual on teaching and working has been prepared by Professor-in-Charge, IQAC. Some of the measures are:
- Ensures maximum utilization of infrastructural facilities and the available ICT resources.
- On the basis of academic audit, a comprehensive review of student's performance is made.
- Conducts regular meetings to discuss quality enhancement measures and recommendations of the Planning and Evaluation Board.
- Formed a feedback analysis committee to review online and offline feedback from students.
- Maintains attendance registers and daily teaching diaries.
- Reviews feedback received from parent-teacher meetings.
- Automation and strengthening of Library facilities.
- Improvement in student support systems.
- Organizing seminars, conferences and workshops at different levels.
- Extension and upgradation of Classrooms and Laboratories.
- Promotes ICT-based teaching-learning process.
- Monitors the overall well-being and quality enhancement of the college in all respects.
